The Auburn CBC is part of a national network of counts coordinated by the National Audubon Society. Data from Auburn will be sent to the national database and will help scientist monitor bird distributions and abundances.

December 23, 2019
From pre-dawn to 5pm

The count circle is 7.5 miles in radius and is centered approximately on the Publix Shopping Center on Moores Mill Road.

How to participate:
Contact Geoff Hill to be assigned an area to count (Keisel Park, Chewacla Park, Town Creek Park etc). Backyard and neighborhood counts are welcome. Participation does not have to be all day; 30 min counts are welcome.

Keep track of how many of each bird that you observe. If you see an unusaul bird, please provide details of the observation. Keep track of how long you count birds and how far you travel.

Transmitting your tally:
We will compile birds at a private residence. Please email Geoff Hill for information. Bird totals must be received by Dec 21 to be used as part of the count.
